A New "Edge" for Global Online Targeting

Digital Element is pleased to introduce NetAcuity Edge, a hyperlocal IP targeting data set that allows advertising networks, web publishers, search engines, social networks, e-tailers, and more to automatically target content and messages with the highest degree of data depth available based on user IP addresses.

How We Do It

NetAcuity Edge offers the only validated, user-provided geographic data down to a postal code level and represents a revolutionary approach to IP targeting.

While most companies in the IP targeting space rely on traditional routing infrastructure analysis, NetAcuity Edge uses an “outside in” approach by collecting data from the edge of the Internet (anonymous data gathered from interactions with users) to map IP addresses. Validated using Digital Element’s proprietary clustering analysis algorithm (CAA) combined with its knowledge of the Internet infrastructure, the data produced is highly accurate and the most granular, but still maintains the traditional user anonymity of IP targeting.

NetAcuity Edge is an enhancement to Digital Element’s NetAcuity data, providing increased accuracy at the city and town level, and vastly improving upon the limitations associated with postal code-level targeting based on user IP addresses. In turn, online marketers will be able to deliver messages and content with pinpoint precision, providing a competitive edge for those marketers looking to add hyperlocal targeting to their online strategy.

NetAcuity Edge is available for purchase in addition to Digital Element’s current NetAcuity data offerings for those companies looking for greater targeting depth with the highest degree of confidence

 

The Edge Partner Program

Companies that are collecting user-supplied information tied to geographic location are eligible to participate in The Edge Partner Program.  For example, potential partners would include any company that has online interactions with users whereby users supply some location information. 

As with all Digital Element offerings, no personally identifiable information is collected, and partners are only required to provide a truncated IP address (TIP™) associated with a user’s postal code or city/town, ensuring user privacy and compliance with partners’ customer privacy policies.
